Welcome to Hazel's Poolside Cafe, a delightful retreat nestled in the heart of Hazelwood Park, South Australia. This charming cafe is the perfect spot to soak in the beauty of the outdoors while enjoying a delicious meal, making it the ideal destination for families, friends, and nature lovers alike. With a friendly atmosphere, it's much more than just a cafe; it's a community hub where you're treated like family the moment you walk in.

As you step into Hazel's Poolside Cafe, you're immediately enveloped by the warm and inviting ambiance. The sound of laughter and playful chatter fills the air, harmonizing beautifully with the gentle rustle of leaves from nearby trees. The inviting outdoor seating allows you to bask in the sunshine or relax in the shade, making it an ideal location for those blissful spring and summer days.

The menu at Hazel's features a range of mouthwatering dishes that cater to every palate. Customers rave about the homemade sausage rolls — flaky, savory, and utterly satisfying. For a breakfast treat, dive into their perfectly poached eggs, served with a side of fresh, vibrant juice made just the way you like it. The coffee here deserves special mention as well; each cup is crafted from carefully selected beans, delivering a rich, aromatic experience that keeps you coming back for more. As one customer, Jacqui Maynard, describes, “divine coffee” paired with a breathtaking view creates an unbeatable combination for any visitor.

What truly sets Hazel’s Poolside Cafe apart is its commitment to making every guest feel right at home. Samatha Buxton Stewart noted the cafe’s attentive care for dietary restrictions and how each dish is imbued with love and thoughtfulness. Whether you're enjoying a quiet lunch or letting the kids explore the surroundings, you'll feel a genuine connection to both the food and the staff. Kids will especially love the chance to taste a variety of gelato flavors before making a choice—a fun experience that Naomi Lambert highlighted in her review! And let’s not forget the friendly dogs roaming around, creating a lively and joyous atmosphere!

Another noteworthy aspect of Hazel's is the stunning natural setting that surrounds it. As Nathan T cleverly puts it, you can unwind with high tea while watching cockatiels and parrots frolic freely—a unique experience that embodies the charm of this region. Few places can offer such an idyllic blend of nature and culinary pleasure, making each visit here feel like a mini-vacation.

Whether you’re stopping by for a quick coffee fix, a leisurely lunch, or a family outing, Hazel's Poolside Cafe is the perfect destination to relax and enjoy. With its cozy environment, dedicated staff, and delectable offerings, you’ll leave with not just a satisfied appetite but also a heart full of warmth. Don’t miss the chance to make a cherished memory at this local gem!

So excited it's that time of year where Dave and his staff generously and graciously treat every customer like family. Double that with homemade sausage rolls, juice made to your liking, the perfect poached egg, divine coffee, a view to die for, and tea made with actual tea leaves and not a teabag! The place to soak up Spring...and Summer. (For any one nervous about previous reviews reg the dogs, they now all have to be on a leash.)

The food here was really amazing! I have a dietary requirement, and so much care was taken to make sure I was well accomadated. There is definitely love and care going into the food here, and the surroundings only add to it. Don't expect fine dining, and there are dogs galore, but it's well worth a visit.

A lovely place to take the kids on the school holidays and David was so kind and generous - not many places will let the kids try ALLthe gelato flavours before choosing what they wanted!

After what seemed like a long winter- our first in Adelaide- which included daily walks to and from Hazelwood Park, I was curious to try Hazel’s when it re opened for the season. Always hopping with people! Finally had the chance last week when we both had a weekday off. Coffee and an almond croissant, perfect and good service. Returned with our teen daughter today for lunch, first day of winter break and the sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky. What a hidden gem! I had the Devonshire scones with clotted cream and jam, and a pot of earl grey tea. My daughter ordered a plate of three tea sandwiches and my husband had the potato waffles with poached egg and smoked salmon. All were excellent to taste and wonderfully presented. This was better than some of the other places I’ve been to for afternoon tea in Adelaide!

There's sidewalk cafes, and then there's "sitting at a patio in a park, enjoying high tea for $12 while your kids chase cockatiels and parrots in a car-free environment." I'm hereby abandoning high effort parenting to spend this summer hanging out at this cafe.

Very nice coffee and friendly staff. Have a delicious menu and a perfect setting to relax and enjoy the surrounding park. They make the best scrambled eggs!
